Have been enjoying lots of family time last week and this week.
It had been ages when we can really go out tgt as a full family cuz its hard to coordinate off days with my shift. Really enjoying every single moment. =)
Tricked mum into choosing her own bdae present yest. =) We got her WOMAN INNER BEAUTY! LOL! But i can see mum smiling from ear to ear when we shopped off with her present. Got dad a wallet from goldlion too! He's happy with his present as well. LOL!
So happy to have all these lovely family times! Going out for dinner to celebrate their bdae later! HAPPY HAPPY! =)

Batam Getaway Day 1 (29th March 2009)
Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal - 0830am
The early birds!
YEAHHH! OFF OFF OFF WE SET TO NONGSAPURA!!
In a blink of an eye.. TADAH!! REACHEDDD!!!
Off on our yellow transfer to our LONG-ANTICIPATED Batam View Beach Resort! =)
You know what? Yellow is the symbolic colour of the hotel! The transport is yellow, the uniform is yellow, the towels too! Cheerful colour! Pei xuan kept saying she feels like she's one of them! LOL!!!!!
REACHED!
Room not ready for check in yet esp when batam is one hour BEHIND us. Walked around the place~

We can see our villa from here!
We have too much time on hand before we can check in so we went kayaking! HAHA! SO funny, we kept bumping into the stones and edges! LOL! But we were so superb we could even swop places in the middle of the sea. LOL! (No photos too bad!)
AND THEN FINALLY... CHECK-IN TIME! We were buggy all e way! =)

We simply love the whole villa. Its so private and so nice! Great view plus great symphony brought by the waves. Awwww...
Got changed. And OUT TO TOWN!
Long lost fast food! A&W!
I love root beer float!!!
Went to shop ard but bought NOTHING cuz nothing really caught our eyes.
Then, we went for cheap massage! VERY GOOD! JUST $10!!! Haha. Me, colleen and nerine took BODY massage while shufen and px took FOOT massage. PX did 2 FOOT massage in a day! LAME! LOL!
And off for FABULOUS CHEAP SEAFOOD FEAST!!! WOAHHH!!!
Massage plus good food. Awww.. Sweet dreams til next morning..
Batam Getaway Day 2 (30th March 2009)
Its WATER time!!
Planned list of water activities! =)
1. SNORKELLING
Well geared, life vested, goggled. OFF WE SET OUT TO THE BIG BLUE SEA!!
No Man's Island...
Okay! Ready to snorkel!
Our Guide!
Too Bad my camera cannot go underwater! SOB SOB!
Half way through snorkelling, shufen felt seasick ---- MABOK. So nerine and shufen went back and me, colleen and pei xuan continued our snorkelling adventure to greater depths of the sea.

Its a pity i cant bring my camera along. The view of the sealife and corals and shells is so so so beautiful. Perhaps beautiful is too simple a word to describe. All i can say is i can fully understand now why val can spend all her salary on diving because the underwater world is really AMAZING. =)
And our guide went to fish for GONG GONG while we were admiring the nice underwater scenery. And the GONG GONG here in Batam is 10 or more times what Singapore sells!

After hours of snorkelling, we went back to shore. Tired but very happy! The locals BBQ-ed the GONG GONG for us! SO YUMMY!! Colleen say its abalone. LOL!
After yummy gong gong, we decided to continue with BANANA BOAT!
I FORGET TO TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE WE SET OFF! DAMNNNN. LOL!
We went for the extreme and it was VERY SHIOK! The feeling of being thrown out and when you know you are falling, the next moment, you gulped down a MOUTHFUL of sea water and you start treading water! LOL!
I LOVE BANANA BOAT!
Unfortunately, during the last throw, Colleen and Pei xuan had a small accident. They fell onto each other and PX's leg hit Colleen mouth. PX had a cut on her knee and the worst was Colleen, a deep cut on her lip which bled ALOT.
The captain who brought us out to sea was so guilty and he made up with 20 GONG-GONG!
Colleen helped to start fire! YUMMY GONG GONG BBQ-ing!!
While waiting...
YEAHHH! READY TO EAT!! =)
We made friends with the locals and sat down tgt with them to share our YUMMY GONG GONG! =)
I love the people here. They are just so naturally friendly and simple. Thats y i meant by simple is happiness.
Went to walk ard to enjoy the quiet evening..
Sitting by our balcony, slurping our cup noodles, drinking the never ending passion fruit juice..
And then, we lighted the dark sky with Sparkle Sticks! =)
Time flies just as fast as the sparks on the sticks. Colourful and beautiful times we had over the days, time to go home.. Awww...

Went out to town again to get some local products home, kueh lapis. And of course, went once again for the cheap massage. LOL!
Took GP with our beautiful villa.
Awww, i miss the place. The nice bed, the symphony of the waves, the nice people.
And we ended our 3D2N Batam Getaway. Batam
View Beach Resort, where friendship matters. Authentically, i feel it.
